Odds in Proposing MGM Hotels in China

Expansion is the main target of this great MGM Mirage Company, one of the world’s leading and most respected development companies with significant holdings in gaming, hospitality and entertainment.
MGM Mirage is presently developing its major hotel-casino and non-casino resorts all over the world. The company is planning to have its operations move to the People’s Republic of China, as one of its major partners in development.
Famous in terms of casino games, MGM has decided to move its operation to China as a hotel but not intended for gambling. The project will cost approximately $5.1 billion. As reported, the company will get financial backing from Dubai government holding company which is planning to build at least three business hotels in the Middle East territories.
People and business operators are just wondering why MGM Company, a well-known casino operator, will invest a big amount of money solely into this project (Hotel) in which gambling is not included for the operation. The proposed building of hotels was clearly outlined as hotels for the future generation and it has high possibility to operate casino gambling soon.
The same ideas happened to the “Sunshine State” were top companies acquired land in South Beach and Ft. Lauderdale in expectation of casino gambling and later on it was legitimized and regulated in the entire state of Florida.
We will predict that the same case may happen to the proposal of MGM Company of building hotels in the People’s Republic of China but what will be their plan this is for people’s own good based on there mission statement.
