Business man shot outside casino

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

Businessman Tony De Marco was shot outside Maybury casino at about 11.50 PM on Tuesday night, while standing with some Asian men , as it was being reported.

As per casino member, the real target was one Asinan who owed 70000$in gambling and drug debts, but Mr De Marco was shot at , which was a really a case of mistaken identity.

Mr De Marco, 62, who is admitted in city’s western General Hospital last night , is under police protection. His condition is stated to be “ serious but not life threatening”

Mr De Marco , a well known business man could be identified as one who built up his fortune in restaurant trade lives in the village of Dander hall., near Edinburgh.

His family is well known for his number of business interest in Edinburgh including a leisure centre in grove street and corn Exchange at chesser.According to one of his neighbours, he was quite a private man and doesnot seem to socialise much in the village.

Some of the customers at casino said that the Gun men approached Mr De Marco on foot and shot him in the head at close range. He was described as white between 5’8” to 5 ‘11” tall and thin built. He wore a base ball cap and a dark jacket and dark trouser.

Police have not released the details of gun and also refused to comment on any other thing. However sniffer dog carried out serches and CCTV footage is being studied.

Detective Inspector Robert Dias who is heading investigation refused to comment on motivation of attack. He however added that Maybury casino is in the middle of busy area and there is a petrol station across the road so there may have been filling up and taxi driver picking up in the area.He further added that “ we have already spoken to several witnesses who came forward at the time and we are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry. However it would be unwise to engage in speculation over a motive at this time.

The casino is locatedon one of the busiest junction of the city with 24 hour petrol station on oneside and Edinburgh Marriot station on the other. It is also on the road to city’s airport.

CASINATOR.COM The search engine of the players.

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Being a player in casino games, one important single thing might come to mind and that is in regards of the funding deposit that most casinos require from its players, whether they are new registries, old ones, neophytes or even seasoned players.

Most of them will agree that a online casino website that allows its players to play with no need to deposit any funding and that will allow them to keep all points gained through the games they have been playing is a very good idea. This is the central focus on Casinator.com

Casinator.com Team is preparing the biggest choice and reviews on all casino websites and online games that are available and that accept players that will not make funding deposits. Placed in other terms, Casinator.com is arranged in such a way that anyone can use their reference table to analyze their comparisons between different online casinos and make a choice to enroll on any given one.

However, Casinator.com takes the best online casino reviews to the next level providing also comparisons on the best bonuses given to players by both the online casinos and flash online casinos upon deposit, reload and loyalty registering and activity record. In this manner, any player both neophyte and seasoned will have no need to waste time surfing or be relinquished to the small amounts when registering at the online casino website or their loyalty club or reloading his or her account.

Moreover, he or she will not waste time surfing the web searching for the best online casinos and the biggest bonuses.

But returning to the point of both the best online casinos as well as the best flash casinos available with no deposit needed; a question arises that makes almost every single player pause and consider to actually writing the address on the url bar, can this be actually possible.

Indeed, it is possible; the best online casinos as well as the online flash casinos and bingo websites offer free no deposit games or “play for fun” games so that the unregistered player can warm up with “fun” money. In this manner, if the player likes the website and enjoys the game, the chances that he or she will register and actually make a deposit are higher.

This way, Casinator.com is enhancing the way a casino player perceives the internet and both online casinos and flash casinos helping them to achieve the ultimate experience on gaming and gambling on the internet.

Choosing an Online Casino

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

It’s extremely important to keep in mind that welcome bonuses are very influential for new members at a particular Online Casino and you shouldn’t fall into this trap, as many people do. The higher the Bonuses are, the higher the level of visitors is. Great Bonuses are attracting many gamblers to do whatever it takes for playing, which is a wrong kind of manipulation. Most of the gamblers are guided by these unfortunately, without thinking about the consequences or the problems which may occur. The other thing is that it’s very hard and risky in the same time to choose the most appropriate casino to play online, no questions asked.

As there is a wide range of websites to select from, a gambler is put up to certain risks whenever he/she is about to play in an Online Casino. In other words, it’s not the Bonuses which should make you start gambling on a specific website, but its trustworthiness and security. Besides these important facts, the games which you are offered play a great role in choosing it, as it’s necessary for you to be provided with the ones that you like and which are due to your taste.

The overwhelming graphics are also influential for people, as well as the eye-catching offers and online casino promotions which are updated and changing periodically.

Otherwise, it is entertaining when playing in an Online Casino and there are many beneficial things. One of the greatest things is that when you gamble online, it may happen that you are not so tense when you spin the Roulette wheel for instance; you just sit in front of your pc, enjoy your time and it is more relaxing. The atmosphere is calm and the surroundings are due to your desire. Then, if you pay attention to how secured the Online Casino is, you are able to make a wise decision. Another vital fact is that you should never forget to check the casino’s payout percentage, because it has a great role in showing how honest it is towards gamblers. The higher this percentage is, the higher the chances of winners to be paid are.

Above these, you are required to pay a great attention to every single detail of offers and particular promotions which are available for you on each Online Casino.

There is no use for you to waste your time or spend your free time doing nothing. Experience the exciting entertainment available on the internet provided by Online Casinos and start gambling!

FRANCE: THE NEW GAMBLING PROMISED LAND

Friday, April 4th, 2008

The controversial Sarkozy administration seems to be tired and fed up with the consistent monopoly of French gambling and is considering opening up online gambling through a open and competitive regime.

This is the follow up of a report that stirred the murky waters of French gambling starting last year; it highlighted the inconsistencies of French politics regarding the matter while also setting concrete proposals to remedy it.

The report, published and updated In November 2006 stated that French gamblers were behind in the development scale of their other European counterparts in terms of share of the household budget that is spent in games of chance.

The report also makes a statement on the compulsory identity control at casino entrances and horseracing that the French government instated as part of its help to the casinos, however the two companies that hold monopoly on such activity do not respect them.

But not all the insight this report gives revolves on the lack or participation of the two French monopolistic companies, it also proposes the creation of “The Observatory” an independent regulatory authority that would oversee gambling activity.

“The observatory” would also deal with the growth on gambling market in the French territory and the need to create gambling-addiction treatment and the ethical behavior of gambling sites.

Therefore and basing on this report, the Sarkozy administration has already entailed talks with the European Commission officials whom, in time, issued warning recommendations regarding monopolistic companies: Française des Jeux and PMU in past administrations.

Seems that Sarkozy’s administration will seek to comply with these warnings as well as make French online gambling more in accordance to European Commission statements and procedures.

If this is indeed the case, then it will mean that finally, France will be included in the free passage of trade and services between EU member nations and not only a viewer from afar as it has been for a long time.

However it seems that despite Sarkozy’s attempt to modify and insert France in the gambling activities that are developing in Europe, early this year a London-quoted Party Gaming closed its activities on the French market.

This could mean either that the Sarkozy administration is not that eager to participate in the EU trade as it has presented to the mass media and international press or that French monopolistic companies such as Fraçais des Jeux are seeking to stall this measure.

BIG SITCK BUYS CORCOM

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Being a player, handicapper or bettor is not an easy job, it is important to have all the pertinent information on real-time. And now, thanks to the efforts of Big Stick Media and SkillJam it is possible, you lucky guys!

Big Stick Media and SkillJam decided to merger their two subsidiary companies: Corcom ad Linetracker to provide all their hungry clients some real-time information of great quality and excel content. Now, isn’t that nice?

Of course, Corcom will pass to become a subsidiary of Big Stick Media several companies, seems that they needed one more…Yet, for all those fans of SkillJam they will still be in the mix.

Indeed SkillJam will have the choice between seating a designated person on the board of directors of BSM or just sending an observer. Naturally, if they make the choice of sending “eyes” he or she will not be able to vote…wonder what they will decide.

But still it might be a good idea for all players, handicappers and bettors to sit down and relax since the merger still has approval pending from the TSX venture exchange. And they are not expected to rule until April 23rd, so take it slowly!

So remember to be on the lookout around this date so you can be amongst the first ones to get some benefit from this important merger.

COSTA RICA AND THE US GAMING BAN

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

The gaming ban that the political and legislative branches of government enforced in the US territory and their residents has caused a long and bitter dispute and controversy at all levels of society, political and economical spheres.

Most countries that have online gaming sites that used to receive U.S. citizens and do businesses with them are seeking to appeal this decision or to have some sort of retribution from the US government as a penalty.

The latest of these countries is Costa Rica who finally reached a compensation settlement for being one of the internet gaming foreign companies banned off from US gaming commerce despite having some of the best online casinos.

According to the press release published on Costa Rican newspaper: The Tico Times, this Central American country was awarded with greater access to other service markets including those of research, development, storage, technical testing and analysis.

It seems that this agreement is similar to the one granted to the European Union for the same reasons late in 2007 when they were granted new trade opportunities in the US Postal and Courier, research, development, storage and warehouse ambits.

OF course, this is not the end that will be heard on terms of peace offerings from the US government to other countries governments as well as their casino owners. The next ones on the list are Japan and Canada, while Macau and India are still on hold.

Despite that Costa Rica is satisfied with the peace offering, the EU has announced that a deep scrutiny on US laws will be done to verify if this prohibition law stands against international trade rules, in such a case, they will act accordingly.

Thus, it is safe to say that the EU views the US government peace offering as a good thing but separate from the ongoing investigation they are currently conducting as it seems that some discrimination against EU companies is taking place.

On this matter, the one sided decision of the US has caused a descent of millions of euros in stock markets around the world and still allow US based horse racing gambling online sites to continue operational.

Furthermore, EU authorities are not pleased with prosecution carried against their casino managers and teller founders especially since the US counterparts are not being prosecuted in ay way or form.

In the meantime, EU authorities are conducting their investigation that should be concluded in a 5-month period, after which the EU will present its complaints against the US at the WTO to be arranged.

Ruling on ban challenge

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

The Internet gaming prohibition has caused serious damages in business income to all online casinos and internet gaming sites, forcing them to seek legal measures to stop the ban from being enforced in their own sites allowing them to continue business transactions and recuperate from the blows their economies have suffered.

In this spirit, the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association presented a challenge in a federal court in Trenton to stop the ban from being enforced on their online casinos and gaming sites. The challenge was dismissed, but it did give the group enough legal standing to present another challenge, this time in an appellate court.

INTERNET GAMING RULES FACE LONG ODDS

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Seems that residents of the United States will face a prohibition that can be compared to the dry law of the 1950s, this time it’s regarding internet gaming sites and the collection of the gains.

Cindy Skrzycki in her Washington Post column presents a very grim future towards a final ruling regarding the total banning or a more tight watch over internet gaming sites and their interaction with US banks and account holders.

In her article, however, Mr. Frank Fahrenkopf Jr., who is currently the president and chief executive of the American Gaming Association, seems quite careless since the US citizens have a history of disobeying any prohibitions they consider ridicule. (more…)

Poker – losing the touch!

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

With the popularity boom of 1993 for the all time favourite casino game Poker, one would find it hard to believe that five years down the line the game would have lost its pizzazz, and due to the influx of all the new, and yet growing casinos, one would be shocked to learn that poker has actually, become a tougher game to get to, and its not the lack of players, but the lack of places that offer it to play.
